Job summary

Placements24 seeks a seasoned Senior Engineering Recruiter to drive engineering talent acquisition in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will manage end-to-end recruitment for mechanical, electrical, civil, and metallurgical roles in the mining sector, sourcing candidates and advising on market trends and compensation.

The role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement and opportunities to grow within a niche recruitment practice in a distinguished consultancy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Engineering Recruiter or Senior Recruiter in mining/heavy industry.
• Success sourcing and placing niche engineering talent.
• Strong understanding of engineering disciplines and skill sets.
• Diverse channels for candidate sourcing (boards, LinkedIn, networks).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
• Familiarity with South African mining recruitment landscape.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, HR or related field advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle for engineering roles from client needs to offer management.
• Source and attract highly skilled engineering candidates (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Metallurgical).
• Develop and implement targeted sourcing strategies to build a robust talent pipeline.
• Conduct in-depth interviews and assessments of candidate suitability and technical skills.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in mining and related industries.
• Provide market trends and compensation benchmarks guidance to clients.
