Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Engineering Recruiter in Stellenbosch to lead end-to-end recruitment for mechanical, civil, electrical, and chemical engineering roles. You will design sourcing strategies, screen and interview candidates, and partner with clients to meet technical needs in a dynamic market.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in engineering-focused recruitment, strong communication, and negotiation skills, plus experience using ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of recruitment experience with a strong focus on engineering roles.
• Proven success sourcing and placing candidates across mechanical, civil, electrical, and chemical engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering terminology, technologies and industry trends.
• Excellent sourcing skills and proficiency with technical recruitment tools and platforms.
• Strong interviewing, assessment, and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment lifecycle for engineering positions from junior to senior levels.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract engineering talent using job boards, networks and direct outreach.
• Conduct screening and interviews to assess technical qualifications and culture fit.
• Partner with engineering hiring managers and clients to understand requirements and team dynamics.
• Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline and provide salary benchmarking.
• Ensure positive candidate experience and accurate data in the ATS.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies affecting engineering recruitment.
• Contribute to growth of the engineering recruitment division.
