Job summary

Rubicon is seeking a Senior Sales Consultant to drive energy solutions sales in the renewable energy and electrical infrastructure sector in South Africa. You will develop strategic relationships with EPCs, installers, developers and end users, and lead end-to-end sales cycles from qualification to close.

You will combine technical understanding with commercial acumen to design tailored energy solutions, present proposals, manage accounts and grow revenue in the territory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years proven track record in energy/renewable energy/electrical or industrial sectors.
• Minimum 3 years' experience selling to energy/renewable energy or electrical distributor industries.
• Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage key accounts.
• Experience selling energy solutions such as: Solar PV systems; Battery Energy Storage Systems; Inverters; EV charging infrastructure; Energy monitoring and management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow revenue and market share within the assigned territory.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, utility and residential energy sectors.
• Actively prospect and engage with EPCs, solar installers, developers, municipalities and corporate clients.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, referrals and industry engagement.
• Develop long-term strategic relationships with key customers and manage existing accounts for cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
• Conduct regular account reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and identify future opportunities.
• Present proposals, conduct product demonstrations and provide commercial and technical guidance.
• Keep up to date with new technologies and market trends in renewable energy and energy storage.
