Placements24 is actively searching for a Senior DevOps Recruiter to join its remote South Africa team. You will sourcing, screening, and placing top DevOps professionals for a nationwide client base while maintaining a strong candidate experience.

This role emphasizes strategic talent acquisition, deep knowledge of DevOps tools, and effective collaboration with hiring managers. You will work remotely within SA, contributing to a fast-growing tech recruitment firm and shaping the DevOps talent

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in technical recruitment with DevOps specialization.
• Deep understanding of DevOps tooling, methodologies, and culture.
• Proven experience recruiting for cloud, containerization and CI/CD roles.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and recruit for DevOps roles (DevOps Engineers, SREs, Cloud Engineers, CI/CD Specialists).
• Develop sourcing strategies to attract passive and active talent.
• Conduct technical interviews focused on automation, scripting, cloud platforms, containers, and CI/CD tools.
• Nurture candidate relationships and ensure a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and recruit qualified candidates for a wide range of DevOps roles, including DevOps Engineers, SREs, Cloud Engineers, and CI/CD Specialists.
• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to identify and attract passive and active DevOps talent, utilizing various online platforms and networks.
• Conduct thorough technical interviews to assess candidate skills in areas such as automation, scripting, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Build and nurture strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive and transparent candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with hiring managers and clients to understand their specific DevOps needs, team culture, and technical requirements.
• Manage the full recruitment process, from initial contact through to offer negotiation and onboarding support.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in the DevOps landscape and recruitment market.
• Maintain accurate and detailed candidate records and recruitment activity within the ATS.
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices for recruiting specialized tech roles.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical recruitment, with a strong emphasis on sourcing and placing DevOps professionals.
• In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles, tools, and methodologies.
• Proven experience in recruiting for roles requiring expertise in cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD.
• Excellent understanding of the talent market for DevOps professionals in **South Africa**.
• Strong ability to assess technical skills and cultural fit.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and various sourcing tools.
