Placements24 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our fully remote engineering team. You will design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, implement CI/CD pipelines, and drive automation strategies to ensure reliability, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years in DevOps, SRE, or system administration roles.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes; scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).

Responsibilities

Our client, a rapidly expanding SaaS company, is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team. This is a critical role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation strategies. You will play a key part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform, supporting the continuous delivery of high-quality software. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, containerization, infrastructure as code, and a passion for automating complex processes. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional software solutions to our global customer base. Our engineering operations, while distributed, often originate from strategic hubs like Randburg, Gauteng.

Key Responsibilities
