Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Curriculum Developer to lead the design and delivery of online, standards-aligned educational content. This fully remote role supports learners across diverse disciplines and operates from a home office in Vereeniging, Gauteng, ZA.

You will collaborate with SMEs and instructional designers, applying ADDIE/SAM models to create engaging, outcome-driven learning experiences and assessments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction or related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in curriculum development or instructional design within education.
• Demonstrated experience in designing engaging online learning experiences and digital content.
• Proficiency with LMSs such as Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard.
• Expertise in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and assessment development.
• Strong project management skills from conception to completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and revise comprehensive curriculum materials for various educational levels and subjects.
• Collaborate with SMEs, instructional designers, and educators to ensure accuracy and engagement.
• Apply ADDIE/SAM models to create learner-centered experiences.
• Develop and implement robust assessment strategies to measure outcomes.
• Manage multiple curriculum projects with timely delivery and quality standards.
• Stay updated on trends in curriculum development and online learning.
• Facilitate online professional development workshops for educators.
• Conduct needs analyses to identify gaps and opportunities for new curriculum initiatives.
