Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join its risk management team in Stellenbosch. The role focuses on assessing creditworthiness of borrowers, analyzing financial data, and guiding lending decisions for a healthy loan portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or risk management.
• Proficiency in financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and ratio analysis.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, loan structuring, and collateral valuation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess borrower risk.
• Prepare detailed credit reports and present findings and recommendations to credit committees.
• Monitor the financial performance of existing borrowers and identify potential credit deterioration.
• Develop and maintain credit risk models and assessment methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with relationship managers to structure loans and negotiate terms that align with risk appetite.
