Placements24 is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst specializing in Corporate Banking to join our Soweto team. You will assess financial health and creditworthiness of corporate clients, analyze complex data, and provide recommendations to senior credit officers and loan committees.

The role emphasizes prudent lending practices within a traditional, office-based environment, requiring strong analytical ability and collaboration with relationship managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in credit analysis, corporate finance, or similar role in banking.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, corporate finance principles, and credit underwriting techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial analysis software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple assignments in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of corporate clients, including financial statement review, ratio analysis, and cash flow projections.
• Evaluate loan requests, assess credit risk, and determine appropriate credit structures and terms.
• Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums and present recommendations to credit committees.
• Monitor assigned corporate loan portfolio, identifying potential risks and ensuring compliance with loan covenants.
• Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting corporate lending.
• Collaborate with relationship managers to support client needs and new business development.
