Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their fully remote team. You will design, implement and manage security measures across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and help protect sensitive data while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will lead security strategies, perform vulnerability assessments, respond to incidents, and work with global engineering teams to embed best practices into SDLC and infrastructure design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in cloud security engineering or a related cybersecurity role.
• In-depth knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) security services and best practices.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and a strong understanding of network protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
• Design and manage security automation tools and processes for security operations.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and develop incident response plans.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to embed security into SDLC and infrastructure design.
