Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Information Security Engineer to bolster security infrastructure. This remote-first role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing advanced security solutions that protect our data and systems from sophisticated cyber threats.

You will work independently yet as part of a global security team. The ideal candidate has strong experience in network and cloud security, scripting for automation, and a proactive approach to threat modeling and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive information security experience.
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for automation.
• Strong knowledge of network and cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain security systems including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
• Automate security processes and infrastructure using scripting and configuration management.
• Perform security assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and remediation.
• Monitor security alerts and incidents; coordinate response efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure cloud environments and dev lifecycle.
• Stay updated on threats and technologies to improve security posture.
