Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to join their fully remote team. You will design, implement, and maintain robust security infrastructure protecting critical systems and data, with emphasis on cloud security and threat mitigation.

The role requires six years of information security experience, a bachelor's degree, and certifications such as CISSP or CCSP are highly desirable. You will collaborate with DevOps and IT to embed security across the development lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in information security engineering or architecture.
• Extensive experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools for security tasks.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, cryptography, and secure coding practices.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud security certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions, including firewalls, WAFs, and cloud security controls.
• Develop and maintain secure network architectures and configurations.
• Lead security infrastructure projects from inception to deployment.
• Automate security processes and responses using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to ensure security is integrated into the development lifecycle.
• Conduct security reviews and provide technical guidance on security best practices.
