Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Civil Infrastructure for Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The role leads large-scale projects from planning through handover, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality and safety compliance.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with government bodies and contractors, and implement robust risk management and reporting. A hybrid work model combines on-site supervision with remote planning and progress reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng.) or equivalent is essential.
• 10–12 years of project management experience in civil infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and closure of major civil infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed plans: scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance across projects.
• Monitor progress, address deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage budgets, cost reporting, and forecasting.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections and progress meetings.
• Prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
