Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join our pharmaceutical development team in Durban. You will develop, validate, and implement analytical methods for drug substances and products, ensuring quality, safety, and efficacy.

You will lead method development using HPLC, GC-MS, MS, and spectroscopy, interpret data, and contribute to regulatory submissions while upholding GMP standards in a collaborative, fast-paced environment in Durban.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in analytical/ pharmaceutical chemistry.
• Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical analysis and method development.
• Proficient with HPLC, GC-MS, and regulatory GMP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods for drug substances and products.
• Perform routine and non-routine testing of materials and products to specifications.
• Troubleshoot analytical issues to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Conduct stability studies and determine shelf-life and storage conditions.
• Prepare analytical reports and documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Stay updated on regulatory guidelines (ICH) and best practices.
