Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist with a strong background in method development to join its advanced analytical services team in Nelspruit. The role focuses on developing, validating, and implementing robust analytical methods across a wide range of substances and products using HPLC, GC, MS, UV-Vis, and FTIR.

Ideal candidates will have a PhD or Master’s in Analytical Chemistry with at least five years of method development/validation experience, and a proven ability to lead

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s in Analytical Chemistry or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of analytical method development/validation experience in lab or industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate analytical methods (HPLC, GC, MS, UV-Vis, FTIR).
• Optimize existing methods for sensitivity, specificity, and efficiency.
• Perform routine and non-routine analysis of materials and products.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and method issues.
• Document all work in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with R&D, QC, and Production for analytical support.
