Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a 5G Network Deployment Specialist for Randburg, Gauteng. You will lead 5G RAN site deployments, installation, commissioning, and integration, ensuring optimal performance and seamless user experience.

The role requires deep 5G knowledge, RAN experience with major vendors, and strong collaboration with planning teams, vendors and site acquisition to meet project timelines. Hybrid work model offered, with growth opportunities and safety compliance ensured.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
7+ years in mobile network deployment with at least 3 years in 5G.
Strong knowledge of 5G NR, MIMO, beamforming.
Proven experience with RAN equipment from major vendors (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei).

Responsibilities

Lead deployment activities for 5G RAN sites: installation, commissioning, integration.
Plan and execute network optimization to improve 5G performance, capacity and coverage.
Troubleshoot complex 5G deployment and operation issues.
Collaborate with planning teams, vendors and site acquisition to meet timelines.
Perform site surveys, acceptance testing, and QA for new 5G installations.
Develop and maintain documentation for 5G configurations and deployment procedures.
Stay updated on 5G advancements and best practices.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Ensure safety regulations and policies are followed during deployment.
