Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, CS, or related field.
• 3–5 years of mobile network deployment and 5G experience.
• Hands-on experience with 5G RAN and/or Core network elements.
• Proficiency in network configuration, testing, and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong understanding of 3GPP standards and cellular network architecture (LTE, NR).
• Knowledge of IP networking and related hardware.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and pressure handling.
• Good communication and teamwork in a hybrid environment.
• Willingness to travel to Richards Bay region.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute deployment of 5G network equipment and software.
• Configure and integrate new network elements (e.g., gNBs, core network functions) according to design specifications.
• Perform site surveys, installation supervision, and commissioning of network infrastructure.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of network performance, ensuring compliance with KPIs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues during the implementation phase, escalating as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and vendor teams to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
• Develop and maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, test results, and deployment procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field technicians during installation and troubleshooting.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in 5G technology and implementation best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of deployment processes and methodologies.
