Placements24 is seeking a Senior RAN Deployment Engineer for a hybrid role based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. You will lead the deployment, integration and commissioning of RAN sites across 2G/3G/4G/5G, ensuring optimal performance and coverage.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Telecommunication Engineering.
5+ years in RAN deployment/commissioning with 4G/5G focus.
Hands-on with Ericsson, Nokia and Huawei equipment.
Strong RF, antenna and transmission knowledge.
Familiar with site acquisition, civil works, and telecom power.
Solid IP networking fundamentals related to RAN.
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
Willing to travel and work in hybrid settings.

Responsibilities

Lead deployment of new RAN sites, including surveys, install and commissioning of basestations (2G/3G/4G/5G).
Integrate and test RAN equipment for core network interoperability.
Troubleshoot deployment issues with field teams and vendors.
Monitor performance and perform initial optimization of sites.
Maintain deployment docs including site reports and configurations.
Ensure safety standards and project deadlines are met.
Mentor junior deployment engineers and provide guidance.
Participate in network planning for site selection and deployment strategy.
