Red Ember Recruitment is recruiting a Sales Representative for our client to grow the local SME customer base and drive sales growth in Mossel Bay and the Garden Route.

The role involves field-based sales, cold calling, client visits, and product demonstrations, with a focus on developing new business opportunities and sustaining strong relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in sales, business development or a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Mossel Bay and the surrounding areas.
• An established network within the local business community will be advantageous.
• Proven ability or strong potential to generate new business.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence engaging with business owners and decision-makers.
• Self-motivated, energetic and target-driven.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Own a reliable vehicle.
• Ability and willingness to learn operational systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within Mossel Bay and the surrounding Garden Route.
• Prospect for new clients through cold calling, networking, business visits and referrals.
• Conduct client visits, presentations and product demonstrations.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate with prospective clients and close new business.
• Grow the customer base and increase sales volumes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses and SMEs.
• Develop a visible presence within the local business community.
• Encourage repeat business and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure effective customer onboarding and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate sales pipelines, customer records and activity reports.
• Achieve monthly new-business and sales-volume targets.
• Represent the company professionally and uphold its values.
