Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking a Sales Co (Internal Applications Only) to grow store sales through constant customer interaction and accurate quotations. You will read plans, manage quotations, and ensure a cost-efficient delivery service while maintaining merchandising standards.

The role requires Grade 12 with 5 years related experience (or 10 years), strong numeracy, and excellent customer service. English and local language communication, and computer literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 plus 5 years related experience or 10 years’ work related experience.
• Plan reading experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the area.
• Above average numeric skills.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Proven ability to work under pressure.
• Must be computer literate.
• Proven strong organising, planning and delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Issuing and follow up of quotations to generate sales.
• Quote process and control of Special Orders.
• Reading of building plans and ensuring quotations are correct and within the agreed timeframe.
• Manage telephone communications including follow ups.
• Conduct competitor analysis to ensure store competitiveness.
• Communicate bulk deposit transfers to customers.
• Promote loyalty programs (VIC and Charge Card customers).
• Manage an efficient delivery service and ensure correct rates.
• Deliveries dispatched within required time; communicate delays and arrange alternatives.
• Record, follow up and resolve customer complaints; ensure excellent service at all times.
• Maintain store standards including Ready for Business checklists and price changes.
• Ensure staff are present and trained; backup coverage for essential roles.
• Enforce OHSA safety requirements and ensure protective clothing usage.
• Maintain password security and awareness of suspicious activity.
