Job summary

The Working Earth in Centurion, Gauteng, is seeking a Sales Leader to guide a seven-person sales team. You will drive new business across retail, property and other sectors, closing deals and building relationships with key decision-makers.

Present electronic security solutions, grow recurring revenue through SLAs, and collaborate with technical teams to deliver tailored security offerings. Must stay current with emerging security and AI-driven technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ sales experience, ideally within electronic security or a technical environment.
• Proven sales leadership and team management experience
• Strong new business development / hunting ability
• Electronic security experience essential
• Strong Access Control and Boom/Entrance Control experience advantageous
• Experience with CCTV, alarm systems and/or gate automation advantageous
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Excellent presentation, negotiation and closing skills
• Commercially driven with experience growing revenue and identifying SLA opportunities
• Comfortable dealing with major retail groups and corporate clients
• Strong technical understanding and ability to present security solutions
• Interest in emerging technology and AI-driven security solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and motivate a sales team of approximately seven people
• Drive new business development across retail, property and other industries
• Lead from the front by identifying, pursuing and closing new business
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients and decision-makers
• Present and demonstrate electronic security solutions to clients
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through to close
• Identify opportunities to grow recurring revenue through SLAs
• Coach and support the sales team with prospecting, presentations and negotiations
• Monitor individual and team performance against targets
• Work closely with technical and operational teams to ensure appropriate solutions are delivered
• Identify opportunities to diversify the customer base beyond traditional retail
• Stay abreast of emerging security and AI-driven technologies
• Be responsive to client requirements, including occasional after-hours support
