Job summary

Primeserv Denverdraft is seeking a Roaming Supervisor to coordinate and oversee field staff within logistics and transport, ensuring compliance with client policies and schedules. The role requires after-hours availability, a company vehicle when allocated, and strong communication with clients and employees.

Responsibilities include roll-call management, incident reporting, leave processing, and ensuring PPE and site dress code compliance.

Qualifications

  • Work experience as a supervisor in the logistics, distribution and warehouse and wholesale and retail industry.
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge (Excel).
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of NBCRFLI agreement and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills (English).
  • Excellent knowledge of BCEA/LRA legislation.
  • Excellent report writing skills/experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage roll call of employees and communicate absentees to clients to obtain approval for replacement.
  • Ensure all employees on duty are as per approved schedule issued and manage discipline where needed.
  • Accompany drivers when vehicle checks are conducted to ensure proper process.
  • Check correct uniforms are worn.
  • Note delays on route onto trip sheets.
  • Conduct daily checks regarding vehicle offences and communicate offences and issue disciplinary notices promptly.
  • Manage and report in real time all on-route incidents with daily feedback.
  • File all individual employee documentation.
  • Resolve clients’ and employees’ queries within 24 hours; communicate delays and provide estimated completion dates.
  • Complete incident reports within one working day and finalise submission.
  • Process sick/annual/family leave weekly and submit documents to regional office by 14:00 on Tuesdays.
  • Supply new employees’ details to clients with relevant documentation.
  • Provide immediate feedback to management and clients on incidents.
  • Action reasonable requests and formalise requests from clients within 24 hours.
  • Ensure all employees on site are aware of client policies and have signed documentation on file.
  • Ensure employees on site are issued PPE per site requirements.
  • Ensure employees on site are dressed per client requirements.
  • Ensure daily ID/licence checks are conducted and documented.
  • Report wage queries to the office immediately.
  • Institute disciplinary action when required per company policies on written requests/complaints.
  • Consult operations manager/IR dept for investigations and actions as needed.
  • Provide written weekly feedback to clients on IR issues.
  • Ensure management is included in all communications.
  • Maintain effective electronic communications with quick turn-around on requests.

Role Overview

The Roaming Supervisor will abide by all work practices and procedures of the employer and / or its’ clients. The policies, rules, procedures, resolutions and regulations of the employer and any terms and conditions set forth will be up to the employee to familiarise themselves with such documents, policies, rules and procedures. It is a requirement to have a working and available cellular phone and be available after hours and weekends to attend to client/company needs. Own transportation is a requirement. Should you be allocated a company vehicle you will be required to transport employees as it may occur from time to time.

  • Institute disciplinary action when required, as per company policies, upon written request/complaint from clients.
  • Consult operations manager/IR department immediately and assist where required in gathering and pre-hearing investigations for any IR related issues.
  • Provide written feedback on a weekly basis to clients on any IR related issues.
  • Ensure management is included in all communications.
  • Manage effective communication through electronic correspondence and ensure a quick turn-around time on all requests.
