Job summary

Clicks Group Limited is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering service excellence, driving sales and customer loyalty. You will manage day-to-day store operations, merchandising, stock control, staff scheduling and administration to meet targets and brand standards.

The role reports to the Store Manager, involves financial oversight, training, and ensuring compliance with labour policies.

Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12 with Maths 50% and English 50%.
• Desirable: Degree in Retail/Business Management.
• Minimum 1 year in an assistant store management role in retail/FMCG.
• Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss, financial ratios).

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and customer loyalty to meet targets.
• Manage stock, expenses, shrinkage and administration.
• Lead in-store visual merchandising to brand standards.
• Motivate and direct staff; cover in absence of Store Manager.
• Schedule staff in line with labour policy and labour model.
• Execute customer service initiatives for great customer experience.
• Support club card participation targets.
