Job summary

Clicks Group Limited in Pretoria is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering excellent service, driving sales and ensuring store profitability.

The role focuses on optimizing store operations, merchandising standards and staff performance, while maintaining regulatory compliance and delivering a consistent customer experience. You will work closely with the Store Manager to plan schedules and achieve targets.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths 50% and English 50%.
• Desirable: Degree in Retail/Business Management.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as assistant store manager in retail/FMCG.
• Financial management experience including budgets and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales through promotions, cross-selling and superior customer service.
• Oversee store operations including expenses, stock management and housekeeping.
• Lead in-store visual merchandising to meet brand standards.
• Motivate and direct staff, including coverage in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Manage daily work schedules in line with labour policy.
• Implement customer service initiatives to boost loyalty and club card participation.
• Complete administrative tasks such as time and attendance and HR records.
• Uphold the group vision as the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
