Job summary

Clicks Group Limited in Limpopo is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in ensuring efficient operation, driving sales and delivering service excellence in a busy South African retail environment. You will oversee daily store activities, merchandising, staff scheduling, and compliance while building customer loyalty and achieving promotional targets.

Minimum Grade 12, with 2 years in an assistant store management role or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store

Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%).
• Desirable: Degree in Relevant Retail/Business Management.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an assistant store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment or successful completion the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.
• Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Drive and maximise sales through the execution of promotional activities and cross-selling initiatives and superior customer service across the store team.
• Efficiently execute all operational activities of the store, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping and administration.
• In-store visual merchandising to meet brand standards and appearance aligns with brand image.
• Support the Store Manager in motivating and directing staff to achieve targets and cover in absence of the store manager.
• Assist in maintaining daily staff schedules in line with labour policy and labour model to fully staff each department.
• Execute customer service initiatives to enhance customer experience, drive loyalty and club card participation targets.
• Attend to administrative responsibilities including weekly time and attendance and employee records submitted to HR.
• Support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving the company values.
