About the Role

Our client, a popular retail chain, is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Retail Store Supervisor to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations at their Paarl, Western Cape location. This role is crucial for ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient store operations, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. The Supervisor will play a key part in motivating and guiding the store team, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring the store environment is welcoming and productive. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a blend of on-site operational leadership and remote administrative tasks, providing a dynamic and engaging work experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise and motivate the retail sales team, providing training and guidance on product knowledge and customer service standards.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by effectively handling inquiries, complaints, and resolving issues promptly.
• Oversee inventory management, including receiving stock, monitoring stock levels, and conducting regular stocktakes.
• Maintain store appearance and visual merchandising standards to create an attractive and inviting shopping environment.
• Assist with scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
• Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and implementing promotional activities.
• Act as a point of contact for staff and customers in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
