Placements24 is seeking a Senior Retail Operations Supervisor to oversee daily store operations at a busy Pretoria location. You will support the Store Manager in inventory control, scheduling, and adherence to company policies, ensuring a smooth shopping experience for customers.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive loss prevention and efficiency across the floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail operations or supervision.
• Proven ability to manage operational tasks in a retail setting.
• Strong inventory management, stock control and loss prevention knowledge.
• Excellent leadership and team supervision skills.
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic inventory software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, in Pretoria.
• Detail-oriented with high operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily store operational activities, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.
• Assist the Store Manager in managing inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and conducting regular inventory counts.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations within the store premises.
• Train and guide junior staff on operational procedures, product handling, and customer service standards.
• Oversee the effective implementation of visual merchandising guidelines, ensuring product displays are attractive and well-maintained.
• Manage staff scheduling and breaks to ensure adequate floor coverage and operational efficiency.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, and handle cash management procedures.
• Address operational issues and customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Contribute to loss prevention efforts by implementing and monitoring security procedures.
• Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for the Store Manager.
