Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager (Internal Applications Only - Mutale) to support store leadership in safeguarding profitability and delivering the company strategy. The role focuses on strategic management, customer service and asset control within the store environment.

The successful candidate will have Grade 12, at least 2 years in retail management, and strong leadership, HR and administrative skills.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12
• Minimum 2 years retail management experience
• Valid Driver's license
• Valid ID or work permit (local)
• Strong accounting skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Computer literate (basic)
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong administrative skills
• Own transport and cell phone
• Sound knowledge of OHSA health and safety requirements
• Strong Human Resources skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager to develop, implement and manage a Store Business Plan aligned with Company strategy
• Grow and protect market share and achieve sales budgets by category
• Maintain customer service strategy and audits above 95%
• Manage stock and asset control, including shrinkage and stock takes
• Oversee cash handling, debtors, petty cash and daily banking
• Lead HR activities including recruitment, training and succession planning
• Ensure compliance with safety, merchandising and housekeeping standards
• Foster a culture of accuracy, client focus and integrity
• Plan and delegate tasks to maintain efficient store operations
