About the Role

Our client, a renowned purveyor of luxury and premium retail brands, is seeking an experienced and sophisticated Retail Store Manager to lead their flagship store in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This role demands a leader with an impeccable understanding of luxury retail operations, exceptional customer service standards, and a passion for building and developing high-performing sales teams. The Manager will be responsible for driving sales, managing inventory, upholding brand aesthetics, and ensuring an unparalleled customer experience that reflects the exclusivity of the brands offered. This hybrid role requires significant on-site presence for operational oversight and customer engagement, complemented by remote flexibility for strategic planning and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Stellenbosch retail store, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Drive sales performance to meet and exceed targets through effective sales strategies and team motivation.
• Cultivate and maintain a luxurious customer experience, fostering strong client relationships and brand loyalty.
• Manage and develop a team of sales associates, providing ongoing training, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensure impeccable visual merchandising standards are maintained, reflecting the brand's premium image.
• Oversee inventory management, including stock control, ordering, and loss prevention measures.
• Manage store budget and operational expenses effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management, preferably within the luxury or premium goods sector.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing store profitability.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a strong understanding of luxury clienteling.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
• Strong visual merchandising skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is advantageous.
