Job summary

Clicks Group in Limpopo is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering service excellence and driving sales. You will report to the Store Manager and help ensure the store operates efficiently while upholding brand standards.

Responsibilities include executing promotions, managing stock, controlling costs, supervising staff, and ensuring accurate admin, timekeeping, and HR records; building customer loyalty and ensuring a great in-store experience.

Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%).
• Desirable: Degree in Relevant Retail/Business Management.
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in an assistant store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.
• Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager to drive sales and customer loyalty.
• Drive promotions, cross-selling, and upselling initiatives.
• Manage stock, expenses, shrinkage, housekeeping and admin.
• Lead in-store visual merchandising and brand presentation.
• Motivate and manage staff in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Schedule staff in line with labour policy and staffing models.
• Deliver customer service initiatives and club card targets.
• Complete weekly timekeeping and HR records.
