Job summary

Clicks Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the Limpopo location. You will support the Store Manager in driving sales and delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring the store operates efficiently and in line with brand standards.

You will oversee merchandising, staff scheduling, and daily admin while motivating the team to meet targets. This role reports to the Store Manager and requires previous retail leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%).
• Desirable: Degree in Relevant Retail/Business Management
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an assistant store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment or successful completion the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
• Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in driving sales and delivering service excellence to meet targets and brand standards.
• Execute all store operations including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, housekeeping and admin.
• Lead in-store visual merchandising to maintain promotional standards and brand appearance.
• Motivate and direct staff to meet targets; cover in absence of the store manager.
• Maintain daily work schedules in line with Labour policy to ensure appropriate staffing.
• Implement customer service initiatives to enhance the in-store experience and loyalty.
• Complete weekly time and attendance and HR records efficiently.
• Align with the group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
