Job summary

Clicks Group seeks an Assistant Store Manager for Mokopane Crossing to support the Store Manager in running a busy store, maximise sales and ensure excellent customer service. You will lead promotions, manage stock, and oversee staff scheduling while maintaining brand standards.

You will report to the Store Manager, leverage financial acumen, and drive a high-performance team to meet targets and deliver a seamless shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12 with Maths and English at 50%.
• Desirable: Degree in Retail/Business Management.
• Minimum 1 year in assistant store management in retail/FMCG or completion of Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.
• Financial management experience (budgets, P&L, financial ratios).

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager to drive sales and customer loyalty.
• Achieve store financial targets by executing promotions and cross-selling.
• Oversee stock management, expenses, shrinkage and admin.
• Drive in-store visual merchandising and brand presentation.
• Motivate and direct staff, manage scheduling per labour policy.
• Execute customer service initiatives to enhance experience and club card targets.
• Ensure weekly time and attendance records are completed and submitted.
