Job summary

Clicks Group Limited in Polokwane seeks a Store Manager to lead store operations, drive sales and manage staff to meet targets. You will ensure service excellence, maintain brand standards and control costs while coordinating with the Area Manager.

The role requires strong financial management, FMCG retail experience and proven leadership skills to deliver growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%).
• Essential: Degree or Diploma in retail/ finance management or related.
• Minimum 2 years’ store management experience in retail/FMCG.
• Financial management experience (budgets, P&L, financial ratios).

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct store operations to meet sales, profit and compliance targets.
• Drive sales, monitor daily/weekly/monthly targets and take action as needed.
• Oversee stock management, shrinkage, housekeeping and admin.
• Manage in-store execution of visual merchandising and promotions.
• Develop and motivate employees through effective leadership and training.
• Schedule staff per labour policy to ensure full departmental coverage.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve objectives.
• Monitor customer trends and competitor activity to seize opportunities.
