Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is hiring for a frontshop/retail assistant to ensure shelves are stocked, merchandise is neatly presented and customer inquiries are handled promptly. You will manage stock, process sales, maintain pricing accuracy, and support store operations with a focus on service quality.

The role requires Matric, up to 6 months in retail, and the ability to work retail hours. Advantageous SAP experience and additional certifications are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate.
• 0–6 months retail work experience.
• Basic computer skills and SAP advantageous.
• Be able to work retail hours; SA citizen; driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Ensure full ranges of products are on shelves and neatly presented.
• Maintain stock and prevent expiry; restock to maximise sales.
• Handle customer queries and follow up on out-of-stock items.
• Process purchases and handle payments (cash, cards, vouchers).
• Ensure correct pricing, stock rotation, and housekeeping.
• Assist with stock counts, backstock, and loading/off-loading as needed.
• Provide friendly customer service and report issues to management.
