Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking an attentive Front Shop Associate to ensure products are stocked, correctly labeled and presented on the shelves. You will maintain stock, assist customers, and handle payments securely while upholding Dis-Chem procedures and safety standards.

The role requires Grade 12 and up to 6 months of retail experience; advantageous candidates may have a year of retail exposure or a retail business management certification. A customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Matric is required; 0–6 months retail experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of retail operations and administration.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Able to convey ideas clearly and answer customer questions.
• Adherence to procedures and company policies.
• Take ownership of quality and timeliness of work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full ranges of products are on shelves and neatly presented.
• Maintain stock and ensure products are within sell-by dates.
• Restock merchandise to maximize sales.
• Handle customer stock inquiries promptly.
• Process payments and manage cash securely.
• Report price discrepancies and ensure correct labeling.
