Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited requires a Frontshop Assistant to uphold merchandising standards while supporting customer service at the point of sale. The role includes stocking, stock control, price accuracy and assisting customers throughout the shopping experience.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12 and up to 6 months of retail experience; advantageous if you have 1 year in retail and a Retail Business Management certification.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or senior certificate.
• 0–6 months retail work experience preferred.
• Advantageous: 1 year retail experience and retail business management certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full product ranges are stocked and neatly presented.
• Maintain stock levels and rotate stock to prevent expiry.
• Assist customers at point of sale and process payments accurately.
• Keep shelves, displays and price tags up to date and report discrepancies.
• Assist with stock control, receiving deliveries and housekeeping to Dis-Chem standards.
