Job summary
Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is seeking a Frontshop Assistant for Garden Walk, Hartenbos. You will maintain product presentation, stock levels and assist at the point of sale with customers in line with Dis-Chem policies.
The role requires Grade 12 and up to 6 months of retail experience; advantageous candidates may have 1 year of retail experience or a Retail Business Management certificate. Hours are retail-oriented, with a market-related salary and benefits.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate.
- 0 – 6 Months Retail work experience.
- Advantageous: 1 Year work experience within Retail.
- Advantageous: Certification in Retail Business Management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure full ranges of products are on shelves and neatly presented.
- Maintain stock on shelves to prevent expiry.
- Restock merchandise to maximise sales.
- Handle all cash/payments at point of sale per SOPs.
- Ensure correct pricing, labels and stockroom organisation.
- Assist customers with product knowledge and queries.
- Process loyalty cards and alternative payments.
- Ensure drop safe cash handling per procedures.
- Support frontshop leader and team with stock counts and back shop tasks.
- Adhere to health and safety and uniform policies.
