Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Frontshop Assistant for Artem Adelphi Centre in Sea Point to uphold merchandising standards and support customer service at the point of sale in line with Dis-Chem policies.

The role requires Grade 12 and up to 6 months retail experience, with advantageous 1 year retail experience and certification in Retail Business Management. You must be able to work retail hours and maintain stock, pricing, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate.
• 0–6 months retail work experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full product ranges are on shelves and well presented.
• Maintain shelf stock to prevent expired items.
• Restock merchandise to maximise sales.
• Handle out-of-stock queries promptly per policy.
• Store delivered stock and stock from storeroom correctly.
• Keep merchandise displays, labels and pricing accurate.
• Keep storeroom neat and organized.
• Update product knowledge to assist customers.
• Assist with back stocking when needed.
• Process customer payments accurately and efficiently.
• Handle returns as authorised by Frontshop Leader.
