Job summary

Clicks Group Limited in Witbank seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in running a high performing store. You will drive sales, oversee stock, merchandising, and customer service while ensuring compliance and brand standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling, time-keeping, admin, and implementing loyalty initiatives to enhance customer experience and club card participation.

Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12 with Maths and English 50%
• Desirable: Degree in Retail/Business Management
• Minimum 1 year in an assistant store management role in retail/FMCG
• Financial management experience (budgets, P&L, ratios)

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in efficient store operations and service excellence
• Drive sales via promotions, cross-selling, up-selling and superb customer service across the team
• Execute store operations: expenses, stock management, shrinkage and housekeeping
• Lead in-store visual merchandising to maintain brand standards
• Assist in staff scheduling to meet labour policies and staffing needs
• Deliver customer service initiatives to enhance loyalty and club card participation
• Handle admin tasks including weekly time & attendance and records to HR
