Job summary

TradeOn in Garden Route (South Cape) seeks an ambitious Restaurant Manager to lead shifts, drive CHAMPS standards, and coach teams for outstanding customer experiences. Initial six-month training will occur at Heiderand, with progression to full RM responsibilities upon successful completion of assessments.

Post-training, placement may occur at any South Cape restaurant based on business needs, offering a clear career path and opportunities across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Grade 12 / Matric
• Essential: 1-2 years supervisory experience with proven ability to lead large teams and manage multiple shifts
• Passion for coaching, mentoring, and succession planning to foster growth and leadership within your teams
• Ability to interpret and act on P&L statements, manage budgets, control labour, food costs, and other controllables
• Proficient with MS Outlook with the ability to use MS Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) at beginner level
• Good understanding of CHAMPS, food safety, health & safety compliance, and operational excellence in a high-volume environment
• Good numeracy and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and act on reports
• Willingness to work shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays in line with business needs
• Flexibility to work at any Restaurant within region based on business needs

Responsibilities

• Build People Capability by training, developing, and coaching Team Members
• Provide regular coaching, feedback, and recognition to maintain high performance
• Lead by example and foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and accountability
• Deliver CHAMPS standards and ensure customer satisfaction targets are met
• Forecast, schedule, and allocate staff efficiently to balance costs and business needs
• Ensure safety, health, hygiene and compliance across shifts
• Address complaints promptly and escalate unresolved matters to the RGM
• Maintain a clean, welcoming restaurant environment
• Grow sales and profits by controlling costs and implementing marketing initiatives
• Monitor inventory and reports to meet margin targets
• Oversee equipment and facilities maintenance to brand standards
