Job summary

TradeOn in Cape Town/Bellville region is seeking an ambitious Restaurant General Manager (RGM) trainee. The role starts with initial training at KFC Bellville for 6-9 months and progresses to full RGM responsibilities across Cape Town restaurants.

You will build a capable team, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive sales and profitability while maintaining CHAMPS standards and brand alignment. Mobility across region is expected upon progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Grade 12 / Matric.
• 3-5 years’ management experience in a QSR, retail or hospitality environment leading large teams.
• Advantageous: Diploma in supply chain or Hospitality.
• Ability to interpret P&L statements and manage budgets.
• Proficient with MS Office and POS systems.
• Strong CHAMPS, food safety and health & safety knowledge.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate restaurant training and onboarding to standard.
• Coach on the floor; give feedback and recognition.
• Plan staffing and forecast inventory and orders.
• Maintain CHAMPS and brand standards.
• Lead and develop trainee RGM and staff.
• Drive sales growth and profitability while controlling costs.
