Placements24 is seeking a Restaurant & Bar Operations Manager for a premier establishment in Welkom, Free State. The role oversees restaurant and bar operations, drives guest satisfaction, leads the F&B team, and ensures profitability through strong cost control and menu development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in food & beverage management, with a focus on restaurant and bar operations.
• Proven staff management and team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of F&B operations including menu costing, inventory control, and service standards.
• Solid understanding of financial management and budget control.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Hospitality qualification preferred.
• Welkom/Free State area experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency with POS systems and related software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the restaurant and bar to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Train, manage, and motivate F&B staff to maintain professional standards.
• Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Control inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships for food, beverages, and supplies.
• Manage costs to achieve profitability targets (food, beverage, labor).
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Create beverage menus and promotions with the culinary team.
• Monitor service standards and implement improvements as needed.
