Placements24 is seeking a Resort & Spa Director for an idyllic Mossel Bay resort. You will steer operations across a luxury property and its spa, shaping strategy, guest experience, and profitability. This senior role requires a hands-on leader with a background in luxury hospitality and spa management.

Responsibilities include directing front of house, F&B, spa services, budgeting, and team development, while ensuring compliance and brand standards in a stunning coastal setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in luxury hotel/resort management; director-level experience preferred.
• Experience managing spa operations and inventory.
• Proven ability to drive revenue growth and profitability.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
• Hospitality or business degree preferred.
• Willing to reside in/near Mossel Bay; flexible hours including weekends/holidays.
• Proficiency with resort management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all resort operations (front office, housekeeping, F&B, grounds, activities).
• Direct luxury spa operations, including scheduling and inventory.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue and market share.
• Ensure exceptional guest service consistently.
• Manage budgets and maximize profitability.
• Lead and motivate a high-performing team.
• Maintain brand standards and quality across offerings.
• Develop marketing and promotional strategies for the resort and spa.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Build relationships with guests, suppliers, and the local community.
