Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Reservations Supervisor for a busy hotel in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will lead the reservations team, oversee room bookings, manage inventory, and implement effective strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.

The role requires supervising 2+ years in reservations or similar, proficiency with PMS and reservation software, and strong leadership and communication skills. You will train agents, coordinate with Front Desk, Sales and Marketing, and ensure accuracy across

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in hotel reservations, with a supervisory/lead role.
Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and reservation software.
Strong understanding of yield management and revenue optimization.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Keen eye for detail and customer service.

Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operations of the reservations department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Train, mentor, and motivate reservation agents, setting performance standards and conducting evaluations.
Implement and manage reservation strategies to optimize occupancy and revenue, utilizing yield management techniques.
Handle complex reservations, group bookings, and special requests with professionalism and attention to detail.
Ensure all reservation systems are updated accurately and maintained according to hotel standards.
Liaise with Front Desk, Sales, and Marketing departments to ensure cohesive operations and guest satisfaction.
