Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a passionate Child and Youth Support Coordinator for a fully remote team, supporting young people in Pretoria, Gauteng. The role focuses on case management, advocacy, and connecting families with education, social, and recreational programs.

You will conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, provide counseling via online channels, liaise with schools and services, maintain confidential files, and advocate for youth rights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of direct work with children and adolescents in support or counselling.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child Psychology, Youth Development, or related field.
• Strong virtual communication, empathy, and active listening.
• Experience with case management and coordinating services remotely.
• Knowledge of local child welfare and youth services.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs of children and youth and develop individualized support plans.
• Provide counseling and mentorship via secure online channels.
• Coordinate access to educational, social, and recreational programs.
• Liaise with schools, social services, and community organizations.
• Maintain confidential case files and progress reports.
