Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Youth Development Officer to design, implement and oversee programs that empower young people in Mossel Bay and the Western Cape. The role is remote, focusing on life skills, education and mentorship initiatives that drive personal growth and future readiness.

Youth development experience and strong facilitation skills are essential for building partnerships with schools, NGOs and local businesses while delivering engaging virtual activities and tracking

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Social Sciences, Education, or Youth Development.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in youth development or education.
• Strong communication, facilitation and leadership skills.
• Experience with virtual collaboration tools and online platforms.

Responsabilités

• Design and coordinate engaging programs for youth focusing on life skills, career readiness, and personal development.
• Recruit and mentor youth participants, providing guidance and support throughout their program journey.
• Develop partnerships with local schools, NGOs, and businesses to enhance program opportunities.
• Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and recreational activities, primarily through virtual platforms.
• Monitor participant progress, gather feedback, and report on program outcomes and impact.
• Manage program budgets and resources effectively to ensure successful program delivery.
