You will work directly with young people to identify strengths, set goals, and navigate challenges, delivering engaging workshops and coordinating community-based activities designed to foster growth and opportunity.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or Community Development.
• Experience in youth work, mentoring, counseling, or coordinating programs.
• Understanding of adolescent development and youth challenges.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire, motivate and work independently or in a team.

Responsabilités

• Provide one-on-one mentoring and guidance to young people.
• Develop and facilitate workshops on life skills, career planning, and personal development.
• Assist youth in setting and achieving personal and educational goals.
• Connect young people with educational opportunities, internships, and employment prospects.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with participants and their families.
• Monitor the progress of mentees and provide ongoing support and encouragement.
• Organize and supervise group activities and community engagement projects.
• Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of mentee progress and program activities.
• Promote a safe and inclusive environment for all young people in Mossel Bay, Western Cape.
