Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Remote Youth Development Coordinator to design and run virtual programs empowering South Africa’s youth. The role focuses on leadership, life skills, and career readiness delivered online, engaging adolescents through workshops, mentorships, and digital resources.

You’ll recruit and train virtual volunteers, collaborate with schools and parents, and monitor impact while maintaining safeguarding and inclusivity in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in youth program development, coordination, or facilitation, with online/virtual engagement.
• Proven experience delivering engaging virtual content for youth.
• Excellent virtual communication, presentation, and group facilitation skills.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement virtual programs focused on leadership, life skills, career readiness, and civic engagement for youth.
• Coordinate and facilitate online workshops, mentorship sessions, and activities for youth.
• Develop digital content and resources to support youth learning and development.
• Recruit, train, and manage virtual volunteers and mentors.
• Liaise with parents, schools, and community organizations to promote participation and gather feedback.
• Maintain records of engagement and outcomes using digital tools.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and adjust accordingly.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive online environment adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Manage program budgets and resources within a remote framework.
• Stay updated on youth development and virtual engagement best practices.
