Placements24 is recruiting a Remote Warehouse Efficiency Specialist to optimize operations across multiple facilities in South Africa. The role focuses on Lean/Six Sigma-driven improvements, data analysis, and remote collaboration with on-site teams to boost throughput and reduce waste.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelors in Industrial Engineering or Logistics, 5+ years in warehousing, and strong change-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse operations with focus on process improvement and efficiency.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyze warehouse workflows, layouts, and procedures to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase throughput and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with on-site managers and staff to implement new processes and tools.
• Develop performance metrics and track progress against efficiency goals.
• Research and recommend new technologies and equipment to improve operations.
• Prepare reports and present findings to senior management.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards in all improvements.
