Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee a distribution network from anywhere within South Africa. The role emphasizes strategic, data-driven leadership to optimize efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years in warehouse/logistics management, strong remote leadership skills, and a solid grounding in WMS and inventory control.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in warehouse or logistics management including remote/dispersed teams.
• Experience managing operations and staff from distance.
• Strong understanding of WMS and inventory control principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills for remote settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, SCM, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage strategies to optimize warehouse efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee inventory management including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
• Manage and mentor remote warehouse staff, promoting accountability and high performance.
• Analyze operational data to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics to align operations with business goals.
