Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled VoIP Systems Administrator to join its technology department. The role is remote-first with occasional visits to the Centurion office, and you will deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VoIP infrastructure to ensure reliable voice services across the organization.

You will manage PBX, call managers, SIP/H.323 protocols, and integrate UC platforms, while documenting procedures and providing user support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience managing VoIP systems (e.g., Cisco CallManager, Asterisk, FreePBX)
• Strong understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323) and networking concepts
• Experience with unified communications platforms and integrating them with other business systems
• Proficiency in scripting or programming for automation tasks is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain VoIP telephony systems (PBX, call managers)
• Monitor performance, availability, and QoS; troubleshoot issues
• Implement system upgrades, patches, and new features
• Manage user accounts, call routing, voicemail, and VoIP services
• Develop and maintain documentation for VoIP systems and procedures
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on VoIP features
